JONAS TV Show - The new Disney Channel TV show starring the Jonas Brothers has been reworked after the writers strike and is now called JONAS with Jo Bros as the Lucas Brothers, a family rock band that lives on Jonas street.
Filming of the JONAS TV show is set to start September 29 using a single-camera approach for the new comedy series about the Lucas Brothers that’s bound to be a smash hit for the Disney Channel like Hannah Montana.
“They play three brothers in a band. But in the show, they are the ‘Lucas’ brothers and ‘JONAS’ refers to the name of the street they live on,” a source told Access Hollywood.
Previously, the pilot for the show was called J.O.N.A.S.! which stood for “Junior Operatives Networking As Spies!” in which the Jonas Brothers were secret agents who were also high school students.
Chelsea Staub was going to play investigative reporter Stella Malone in that version.
In the new JONAS TV show, the boys parents are played by regular actors, but Frankie Jonas, aka Bonus Jonas, plays the “Lucas Brothers” younger brother.
The Lucas Brothers show will debut on the Disney Channel in Spring 2009.
“It’s going to be a funny show and it’s going to be a great cast,” Joe told Ryan Seacrest in an interview. “I’m really excited.”
And that’s the latest on the Jonas Brothers becoming the Lucas Brothers in the new Disney Channel JONAS TV Show.
