Jamie Lynn Spears was discharged from the hospital overnight Friday, with the new arrival getting an early education in her family’s notoriety: their car had a police escort home.
Jamie Lynn recently purchased a home in nearby Liberty, Miss., where she and Casey have been living for about three weeks.
“They’re doing terrific,” the source says. “The baby’s got 10 fingers and 10 toes … and a full head of hair. She’s long, a tall baby, and she weighs 7 lbs, 11 oz.”

her kid is cute and all but she is way to young to have a baby. her career with nickolodean is ruined. and teenage marriages never last. she should have thought more clearly about her decisions and the influence she has on girls 14 and up. because she had a kid at 16 is going to give other teens impressions that its ok. so yeah her kid is cute, but i wouldnt be suprised if she turned out to have the brains of her mother….or worse….

god! people are still bashing jamie!! i thought after her daughter was born, things would calm down, but no!! jamie is one of the bravest people ever. imagine yourself in her position, sixteen years old, career over, because not only is she a pregnant teenager, but she’s a pregnant teenager that the whole country knows about! and to all those people yelling at her, 50% of high schoolers are sexualy active, half of you could have been in the same situation! it’s true that jamie might have made some poor decisions in the past (even thought i dont know the details) but bad decisions are part of being human, and i think she has handled the situation with maturity beyond her years. jamie, the best of luck, you’ll be a great mom!

I don’t care what other people say, Maddie was not a mistake, now that she’s here your life is gonna be so much better and you and Casey’ll be happier with that baby girl. Congrats on the new baby girl! I agree with what seems to be most people’s opinion here. You’re really brave jumping head first into motherhood at 17. And honestly, yes, there are young girls who view you as a role model, but hopefully they can see from your example that people make mistakes and they don’t have to repeat other’s mistakes to learn them themselves. Hopefully your not placed to blame for any future young teen pregnancies, because any young teen who makes that mistake would have made it regardless of your own actions in life.
I’m sure you’ll be a great mother being that you have a lot to provide your daughter and a fully involved fiance. Plus the help and support of your family, of course.

My name is Hailey I am a 17 year old mother of a 6 month old little boy named Ayden who was born December 22, 2007 weighing 7lbs 5oz and was 20 inches long. I know that it is extremely stressful to go through a pregnancy at this age and have people just talking about you and spreading rumors. My boyfriend was in some legal problems that he got dismissed of, and people talked about us both and spread rumors. Babies are a lot of hard work especially if they have colic for 3 months, but there is nothing better then your own baby. I didn’t plan on him at this age, as i know that you didn’t but you will be a great mother and im sure your boyfriend will be a great dad if he is like my boyfriend he will be very protective. I have wanted to write to you since you came out with you were pregnant to tell you that i know you are going through a lot, but that you can do anything as long as you don’t let others get to you. Congradulations on the birth of Maddie she is beautiful. take care and know that i know that you will do what you think in your heart is best for your baby. and i know that it is hard now that you arent the teen you want to be. I know that what i say probably doesnt matter and that it pry wont get to you, but i feel better at least knowing that i tried to tell you. One day maybe i will get the chance to talk to you. Congrats Jamie..your baby girl is precious. The next few years will be rough but it all pays off in the end when you baby looks at you and tells you “I love you mommy”. People are always gonna talk so let them. You are a very special girl and have a very special daughter live everyday to the fullest with her because they grow up fast. Maddie Briann Aldridge Photos
Jamie Lynn Spears told OK! magazine that while her labor was induced, she gave birth naturally and without complications.
Jamie also said that Casey Aldridge was the one person she wanted in the delivery room with her, not her mom Lynn or her sister Britney.
“Once I got in there, my doctor was just so calm and so good it was not bad at all,” she says. “I was just talking to Casey. And you know what’s so weird? I was asking him if he was okay. He was like, ‘Yeah.’ We were both so excited.”
A baby nursery is already set up for little Maddie Briann Aldridge at the other end of the house, but for now her proud parents like having her next to them at night, so she sleeps in a bassinet in the same room as Jamie Lynn and Casey.
“She is very good,” says Jamie Lynn. “She’ll feed every two or three hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I’ll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. There’s no screaming and crying.”
The proud mama continues, “We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I’ve worked one out with her, and we’re happy going about our little life.”

well congrats on the new baby. neva mind all those negative comments. I had a baby @ 17 and me & the father did it all alone,no body’s help.. now i’m 27 and we have 2 kids now 6 years apart tho. But you seem to have great family support, so you’ll be okay. And don’t let no one get you down, nobody’s perfect that’s what i tell my oldest daughter, she loves watching zoey 101 & she doesn’t think less of u because that’s life & she understands. The fact that she is taking complete and full responsibility for this all on her own at such a young age is very admirable!
I think she will be a good image for america to have as a teen mother! Teens need way more support then we give them. She has been very open about this and isnt ashamed, she is confident and beautiful and the baby is beautiful too!

A child is never a mistake; they are a blessing from God. I had my first one at 16 and I am now 31 with four children and I love them and they are each special in thier own way. I have been with my children’s father (now husband for 16 years and its wonderful because we are also each other’s best friend. Remeber that you can make your marriage work for the sake of Maddie and the glory you give God with a strong marriage and always remeber the reason you two fell in love. Good Luck

And you want to know something? We’re both 21 now, and we’re still married, we still love each other, we have a great life with a baby boy on the way. We both have great jobs, a BEAUTIFUL house the WE OWN, and WORKED HARD FOR. And not to mention some pretty damn nice cars.

I dont understand why some people on here are saying she is a bad influence, and she is way too young to have a child. For one, yes she is young, but things happen, and instead of taking the easy way out and having an abortion, she is taking responsibility. How is that a bad influence?? That she stands up for the things she dosent expect to happen! And if kids are going to do what celebrities are going through…then it is parenting. I mean seriously you see so much going through media, but if you actually think kids are going to do everything they see just because it is in the media, then parents should maybe be around more, and start taking care of THEIR responsibilties. Jamie is more taken care of money wise than all of you togather. Her child is going to be well taken care of. So maybe all you that are so negative can learn something out of the love she has for her child.
Before i became pregnant (at 17) I was out drinking, skipping school, and in fights constantly. Once i found out i was pregnant i relaized my daughter needed to come first. I ended up graduating from high school, taking classes to be a RN, have control over my anger, and have stopped drinking. But most of all I have the love that i would have never felt if i didnt have my daughter. The love that has made me strive and actually be able to witness life. Children have a way of making you change only for the better, and maybe you all should let her take care of her buisness the way you should be taking care of yours.
Good luck Jamie, your daughter is precious and only good can come out of a precious child.

Well, everyone’s being so rude!
I got pregnant when i was 17..i’m 18 now. But it was hard, but i dealt with it the best i could. She had sex before marriage..just like half of you do! No one has any room to talk we all make mistakes and God doesn’t make mistakes and he allowed little maddie so therefore..It happened for a reason..so it’s no ones business. She is beautiful..congrats. i had my daughter on may 1, 2008. She was born 10 weeks early because of my blood pressure and my placenta was torn so i had an emergency c-section i’m very blessed to still be here, and so is she. It was a long road she’s 3 months and 3 weeks now..and doing wonderful. i made it through all that being 17 and my husband 20..and there is a lot of people that are way older who couldn’t have done as good as we did. There were babies at texas childrens hospital that were always alone because their parents couldn’t handle it. And they were grown adults..But me and blake never left her side. And i’m proud of us! And i’m proud of jamie that she stuck through it and kept her baby. No, it’s not exactly a perfect example for teen girls, while it does teach them everyone makes mistakes.. and they can learn from her, while seeing how she made a mistake yet made the best out of it and is now a wonderful mother. That babygirl is a blessing and no mistake…congrats jamie! And by the way..my last name was spears before i got married and everyone thought i had your baby at texas childrens hospital..they thought you had her early! haha! Congrats girl, i wish all the best..mommy life is amazing, and little girls are the BEST!!

I hope you and Maddie Briann are ok. Its hard having a baby at young age. i had a baby at 13 and thought about an abortion. But then all my friends said not to and that its a gift from god and to be lucky i have a child. My boyfriend was happy that i was preganant but he was quite scared he was 14. On 12 August, my beautiful baby girl was born. by that time i was 14. Shes called Keisha. Shes the best thing that ever happend to me. Now im 19 and ive had another baby he’s 1 now . Beautiful Kaylan and im pregnant with twins. Me and Lewis have been married and my life cant possibly be anybetter. Aslong as you have your boyfriend/husband and children. Your life couldnt get any better. my Best friend Magda got preganant at 12! Who cares! shes had her baby Nadine and 4 other children, Amy Aaron , Cameron and Sabrina. She is a fabulous mum ! it doesnt matter what age you have sex at or get pregnant at, its just if your going to be a good, caring, and supporting mother! so all them people out there that call people who have babies at young ages slags, get a life, they are just jealous! life couldnt be better without a family and kids !(family) i go clubbing at partying and i have a big house (5 bedrooms) 4 bathrooms and a party room with a LARGE backgarden.

My girls ages 8 & 6 have watched every episode of Zoey 101. But I keep telling them that you are an actress and a darn good one at that. When the tabs started talking about your pregnancy, I had to give the talk to my oldest daughter Hayleigh. I explained to her that people choose to fall in love sooner than others, and sometimes when you are 17 you can also fall in love. I know parenting is difficult, and I can equally imagine what you are going through being an actress, with work, Dodging the Poparazzi, trying to live a some what normal life when you are under the spotlight. I just wish people would really truly leave you alone and allow you to be a mom. Granted your sister has been through a tough time as well. However, society needs to understand the pressure you and your sister are under, the fact that you act and are successful with your careers, they dont seem to understand that you are also a human being too and you have feelings, and what people write about you and say about you hurt. Although there has been alot of media attention regarding your sister having Bipolar, guess what people with Bipolar can also raise children. So what its just a hurdle that she can overcome. If the diagnoses of your sister is true, really watch for the warning signs, as it is heriditary. Take Care and god bless.
