School Of Rock 2 - Jack Black will film School Of Rock 2, the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2005 hit movie, in 2009 and reprise the role of rock-crazed teacher Dewey Finn.
The School Of Rock 2 script has been completed by writer/costar Mike White and director Richard Linklater has been signed to direct again.
The School Of Rock sequel’s storyline involves Dewey Finn (Jack Black) taking his class on a “cross-country field trip that delves into the history of rock ‘n’ roll and explores the roots of blues, rap, country and other genres.”
“I love to rock…I love making movies,” Jack Black told reporters about School Of Rock 2 and returning as wacky rock teacher Dewey Finn. “So it is kind of like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, you put the acting and the rock together in a delicious sweet chocolately smash.”
Sounds like a great road trip movie. It would be way cool if they met real bands like the Jonas Brothers along the way…
