Chace Crawford Footloose – Gossip Girl hottie Chace Crawford has signed to film the remake of “Footlose” in the title role that made Kevin Bacon a star back in the Eighties.
The Chace Crawford Footloose signing came quickly after Zac Efron dropped out of the Kenny Ortega directed flick. ICYDK, Ortega directed all three High School Musical movies.
Now rumors are rampant about who will star opposite Chace Crawford in “Footloose” when filming begins in March 2010.
One name being kicked around for Chace’s co-star is Disney tween queen Miley Cyrus, who certainly knows how to sing and dance.
Also up for consideration for the role of rebellious teen Ariel Moore is Julianne Hough from “Dancing With The Stars” who has also had a few hit country singles.
Amanda Bynes and Hayden Panettiere have also auditioned for Kenny Ortega, but no front runner has emerged so far.
