Xavier Samuel Is Riley In Twilight Eclipse – Hot young Aussie actor Xavier Samuel has been cast as newborn vampire Riley in the third Twilight movie, Eclipse.
The news that Xavier Samuel is Riley in Twilight Eclipse continues the trend of lesser known actors being selected for key roles in the Twilight series.
Xavier Samuel, 25, is an experienced actor who most recently starred as a gay Australian surfer named Fergus in the movie “Newcastle”, which gave Xavier a lot of big screen exposure in more ways than one.
He also acted in another Aussie film named “September” to critical raves and also appeared in “Further We Search.”
In “Eclipse”, Xavier plays Riley, a college student who is a new and good-looking vampire (are there any other kind of vampires?) that gets recruited by Victoria in her plot to kill Bella, aka Kristen Stewart.
In case you’ve been stuck on another planet, the primary story arc in Eclipse has Bella being forced to choose between werewolf Taylor Lautner and vampire Robert Pattinson.
Eclipse starts filming in Vancouver in August, 2009 and should hit theaters June 30, 2010.
